Borrowers & Owners

Relationship management is central to working with small to mid-size banks and investors. Yet this relational component, which has fostered prosperity in the past often becomes a key problem when a borrower becomes distressed and loans are moved to a workout or some other "troubled" category. We try to buffer our clients in stressful negotiations by augmenting a client´s existing staff.

One of our strongest suits is acting in an advisory capacity for companies or individuals (due to personal guarantees) who are evaluating bankruptcy options. We can assist in preparation for single or multiple chapter 7 or 11 bankruptcy filings.

We put together a written plan that all sides can agree upon and be comfortable with. Elements of this plan might include;

» Evaluating personnel.
» Analyzing the situation.
» Investigating competitive position, finances, marketing, and operations.
» Developing in depth market and valuation analyses.
» Surveying ancillary areas that can have significant financial implications.
» Assessing impacts of various scenarios.
» Assessing ownership structure issues.
» Reviewing guaranties-personal and other to evaluate their effect(s).
» Restructuring the business or the financings.
